Byford Pharmacy Pty Ltd ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, byfordpharmacy.com.au. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy covers our website only. For how we handle your health and prescription information in the pharmacy, please ask us for a copy of our in-store privacy policy.
What we collect through this website
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message. Please don't include prescriptions or health information in the form. If you do, we will handle it as health information under the Privacy Act.
- Email and phone: if you email or call us, we'll collect the details you give us, such as your name, contact details and the reason you're getting in touch, and handle them as described in this policy.
- Website statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.
- Maps: our Contact page shows an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may collect information such as your IP address and set cookies, under Google's own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use your contact form details only to reply to your enquiry. We don't use them for marketing, and we never sell or rent your personal information.
Staying anonymous
You can make general enquiries without telling us your name. For some things, like dispensing medicines or booking a service, we'll need to identify you.
Service providers and overseas storage
We use trusted providers to run this website, and some of them store or process information outside Australia:

- Resend (delivering contact form messages to our email) — United States and Japan
- Google Workspace (our email) — United States and other countries
- Google Maps (map on our Contact page) — United States
- Supabase (website content management) — India
These providers handle information only to provide their services to us.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other services, including MedAdvisor (appointment bookings and the MedAdvisor app), IPA (catalogue and online shop), Facebook and Instagram. When you use those services, their own privacy policies apply.
Security and how long we keep information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep contact form messages only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and meet our legal obligations.
